About Tree Matters
Tree Matters was setup in Jersey in 2006 to provide a service that combines tree preservation with sensitive practices such as formative pruning, removing dead, dying or diseased limbs, thinning, and balancing, taking into consideration the environment around us. We continually work closely with other firms, sharing information and educating ourselves further in order to improve our practices year on year. We also work closely with charity Jersey Trees For Life to increase funding for preservation of trees and planting of new ones. Trees provide, oxygen, shelter, habitats, food for wildlife, and so much more, all of which have to be taken into consideration before any major work is undertaken.
There are many reasons why trees have to be removed: storm damage, overcrowding, pests and diseases, or danger to the public. Other times large old trees just run out of energy and die naturally. Tree Matters recycles all felled trees into fire wood, providing heat for our lovely Jersey homes and woodchip for paths and flower beds. We also mill all the finest timber in order to give trees a new lease of life.

Before all of the above is undertaken we like to inspect your site and get a feel for the environment your trees are in, we can then determine the most sympathetic way of pruning or reducing your trees. We will advise on best time of year to prune.
Tree Health Check
Our experts will perform a health check to identify and catalogue potential structural issues with trees on your land, such as dead wood or growth defects, then suggest what would be necessary to rectify any issues. You receive a full report (either printed or accessible online) on the structural health of your trees.
